Furthermore, they will be able to adequately represent the discipline in basic research as well as in applied areas. The focus of the degree programme is on the combination of the three subdisciplines of “Population Genetics", "Quantitative Biology and Systems Biology" and "Evolutionary Developmental Biology (EvoDevo) and Molecular Evolution". The degree programme promotes interdisciplinary cross-linking of biological disciplines with quantitative fields of education such as mathematics, statistics and computer sciences.
