Graz, Austria · Accredited programme
Information and Computer Engineering is a master's degree programme lasting 4 Semester / 120 ECTS, taught in English at Technische Universität Graz in Graz.
This study programme is only available in German. --> Never before in human history has there been such a rapid increase in knowledge and thus constant change in knowledge as is the case in information technologies. Students of the master’s programme in Information and Computer Engineering will learn how to deal with this phenomenon and to adjust to the necessity of independent and continuous renewal of their knowledge. The curriculum is therefore geared towards a great deal of freedom in choosing course content and prepares the students for independence and initiative in thinking, decision-making and acting. The aim of this course is therefore particularly to enable students to think, decide and act in an interdisciplinary manner and to take an integrative approach to systems and thus to environmental and social issues, which are gaining importance especially in view of the increasing globalisation of the economy and society. Information technologies are the carriers and drivers of globalisation and the spread of the English language as the "lingua franca" of our world. Therefore the use of the English language is a natural element of the master’s programme in Information and Computer Engineering. Study periods abroad are encouraged, international doctoral students are integrated into the course, professors from abroad enrich the study programme considerably and contribute to the development of the students’ social skills. Projects, lectures, papers and teamwork serve to develop the relevant key qualifications in the students. Planning and thinking is developed as an integral element of the degree programme.
